FileSender vouchers allow users without an account to send files to you using FileSender.
How it works
- You send a FileSender voucher to the person.
- The person receives an email with a link to FileSender.
- They click the link to go to FileSender, choose their files, and send them to you.
Send a voucher
- Click Vouchers on the side navigation panel.
- Enter the recipient email address.
If you want to send multiple vouchers at the same time, you can add more than one email address by separating with , or ;.
You can provide multiple vouchers to the same recipient email. - Enter a subject and message for the email.
You can leave these blank, but personalising the email helps the recipient to know what the email is for. It also decreases the chances of the email going to a spam folder. - Click the date under Expiry date to select the date the voucher will expire from the popup calendar.
- Turn on Valid for one upload only to have the voucher expire after a single use. If this is turned off, the recipient will be able to send files multiple times using this voucher.
- Turn on Can only send to me to limit the recipient’s use of FileSender to sending to your CloudStor account. If this is turned off, the recipient can send to an email address of their choice.
- Click Advanced settings under Guest options to tell FileSender when you want it to send notifications about use of the voucher.
Notify me when upload starts: FileSender will send you an email when the guest starts an upload.
Notify me when voucher guest users access the upload page: FileSender will send you an email when the guest clicks on the link in the voucher email.
Notify creation to guest: FileSender will send the guest an email when you create the voucher.
Notify me of the guest creation: FileSender will send you an email when you create the voucher.
Notify expiry to guest: FileSender will send the guest an email when the voucher expires. - If you want the guest user to have to create a link for their file upload, rather than sharing the upload to an email address, turn on Get a link instead of sending to recipients.
This setting is useful for sharing an upload link using a private messaging application.
Note if you toggle this option on, the Can only send to me option will be automatically turned off. - If you want the recipient to login to FileSender to download the file, toggle User must login to FileSender to download file(s) in the right column of the form.
- Click on Advanced settings under Created transfers options to tell FileSender when you want it to send notifications about the voucher.
Send me copies of all notifications: FileSender will send you copies of all notifications that it sends to the guest and their recipient.
Notify me when expired: FileSender will send you an email when the voucher expires.
Notify me when upload is done: FileSender will send you an email when a guest’s upload is complete.
Notify me upon downloads: FileSender will send you an email when the guest’s uploaded files are accessed and downloaded.
Send me a report when expired: FileSender will send you an email report showing how many times the voucher link was accessed and by whom once it expires.
Include me as a recipient: FileSender will include you as a recipient on all uploads that the guest sends. - Click
Send Voucher.
If you turned on Notify me of the guest creation, FileSender will send you a notification email for each voucher with the email address of the recipient.
If you turned on Notify creation to guest, FileSender will send the recipient a notification email which includes your email address, a link to access the voucher, and the expiry date, if any.
How does a guest send me files?
When a guest clicks on the link in their voucher email, their browser will open FileSender with most of the options that you would see as a normal user.

View existing vouchers
- Click Vouchers on the side navigation panel.
- Scroll down to Vouchers to view a list of all active vouchers you have created.
- To delete a voucher, click
. Click OK to confirm.
- To resend the invitation email to the guest, click
. Click OK to confirm.
- To send the invitation email to a different email address, click
. Enter an email address and click OK.
FileSender will create a new voucher for the new email address with the same settings as the original voucher.
View voucher transfers
- Click
FileSender in the top navigation bar.
- Click Vouchers on the side navigation panel.
- Scroll down to Voucher transfers to view transfers that have been made using your allocated vouchers.
- To delete files uploaded with a voucher, click
next to the transfer. Click OK to confirm.
- To extend the expiry date by 10 days for files uploaded using a FileSender voucher, click
. Click Extend or Extend and send reminder to confirm.
- To make the uploaded files available to another person, click
and enter the email address you want to forward the transfer to. You can add multiple addresses by separating them with , or ;.
- To send a reminder email to the email addresses listed in the Recipients column, click
. Click OK to confirm.
- To view information about the transfer, with timestamps and IP addresses, click
. You can also forward the logs to your email address.
