There are two versions of Globus: Globus Connect Personal and Globus Connect Server.
Globus Connect Personal
If you have a desktop computer or laptop, and want to transfer files to and from server endpoints, Globus Connect Personal is most likely to suit your needs.
Note: Personal endpoints are designed primarily for connecting to server endpoints. You can connect to other personal endpoints, but you'll typically need a paid subscription.

Globus Connect Server
Globus Connect Server offers a high performance multi-user endpoint with features like multiple data transfer nodes, guest collections, mapped collections, HTTPS and GridFTP data access, high assurance management of protected data, support for a range of storage systems, and an integrated OIDC server for authentication.
