Zoom regularly release updates that improves the security when participating in Zoom meetings. It is recommended to update the Zoom software and devices regularly.
If you use the Zoom client on computer, you can click on your profile and click "Check for Updates".
Instructions for each type of device are as follows:
Windows
You may have already been prompted to update your Zoom software this morning when you launched Zoom or started a meeting. If you’ve already updated using this method this morning, great! You can still run though the process below if you want to make absolutely sure.
- Open Zoom and click on your profile icon in the top right – it may be a coloured square with your initials, or a photo of you if you’.
- Click on “Check for updates”.
- If there is an update available, please download and install – it should take less than a minute and require no input from you once it’s started. No restart of your computer is required.
- If you’re already up to date, Zoom will let you know.
Android
- Open the Zoom app
- Tap the setting button on the bottom right
- Tap “About”, then “Version”. It will tell you whether your app is up to date.
- The upgrade process may differ depending on your phone. You may need to go to your App Store to get it updated.
Apple iOS
- To check the Zoom app version
- Open the Zoom app
- Tap the setting button on the bottom right
- Tap “About”, then “Version”.
- To update the Zoom app, locate the app in the app store (https://apps.apple.com/au/app/zoom-cloud-meetings/id546505307) and update it from there.
Mac OS
- Open the Zoom app’s main window
